This week your student will be spending some time learning expectations and procedures. Your student will take a Chapter 1 pretest on Tuesday and I will be using that as a way to show your student how their tests will be formatted and graded throughout the rest of the year. After every test (not normally Pretests) your student will have a cover sheet that they can bring home explaining what parts they did and did not master and a relearning packet that needs to be completed if your student would like to retake a test. This week your student will practice filling this cover sheet out and I will provide them with a relearning packet of problems that they can work on to refresh their memory of the concepts they did not master. Your student will also be receiving their algebra test book this week. they are allowed to bring it home but should bring it back to school with them daily. At the end of the week your student will take a pretest for Chapter 2 over solving equations. Just a reminder that your student should have brought home a parent homework assignment for you to complete. If you could complete that by the end of the week I would truly appreciate it.
