Today I would like for you to read through the following directions for graphing a parabola without and with a "b" value so make sure you read both side. After you have read through it once I would like for you to fill out your note taking sheets by filling in the blanks. You do not need to complete the examples as we will go through those together in class on Friday which means that you must keep track of this paper and bring it with you to class. The other things I would like for you to do today is watch the following video and take notes as you go. Video 2
Apr. 29th
You have a number of things to get accomplished today:
1. Basic Quadratic equation - What does “a”, “b” and “c” tell us or how does it effect the graph? - A letter might tell us more then one thing - Make sure the graphs are done even if you are unsure about how to answer the questions - Go to https://www.mathsisfun.com/algebra/quadratic-equation-graph.html - Set the a, b and c values as directed on the worksheet - Sketch a graph for each - Complete the questions |
2. I pushed to you called 9.1: Quadratic Graphs and Their Properties.
- Start with clicking on instruction at the top and working through problems #1-5. Please put your answers in your notebook.
- The next thing I would like you to complete the self-assessment questions #1-4. Please put your answers to this in your notebook as well.

If the person who picked the spot gets it correct then just like normal Tic-Tac-Toe they get to mark the spot. However if they get it wrong and the other person got it correct then they get to mark it. You can use SnapChat or Download a free QR Code reader on your phone to check your the answers. Play until you either someone wins or you end in a cats game.
